The Westboro Baptist Church is coming to Hastings High School to picket the school’s product of The Laramie Project.

Fred Phelps and his group travel all across the United States spreading their message of hate and lies about LGBT people.

However, when the Westboro Baptist Church comes to Hastings to protest, they will actually be raising money to help promote LGBT acceptance and equality. Oh, the irony!

Here’s what you need to know:

• The Westboro Baptist Church is scheduled to protest for 45 minutes, from 1:15 pm to 2:00 pm, on February 13, 2011 at Hastings High School.

• We are collecting donations for every minute Westboro Baptist Church protests to benefit three organizations; OutFront Minnesota, Join The Impact Twin Cities, and the Hastings High School Gay / Straight Alliance. The longer Westboro Baptist Church protests, the more money they will raise.

• Pledge by the minute. Choose any amount to contribute for every minute Westboro Baptist Church protests.

• Or pledge a flat rate for the entire time Westboro Baptist Church is to protest
