What is a Phelps-A-Thon?

A Phelps-A-Thon is a fundraiser, named after telethons, which allows people to pledge online any amount per minute, or a flat rate, that the Westboro Baptist Church is to protest. The longer the demonstration, the more funds raised for a predetermined cause; a gay/straight alliance, LGBT community center, Jewish community center, or many other organizations.
